So like I said, school sucks. I hate it so much, it’s so pointless and I’m not learning anything that will help me once I graduate. The four classes I have this semester are journalism, US History, English, and Physics, ughhhhhh. Journalism is so stupid. It’s a mandatory elective for all sophomores, how ridiculous. So we all have to take it. I hate writing so I don’t care about anything I’m being taught. It would be a great class if I actually WANTED to take it. But I don’t. I’m a sophomore and I don’t even get to pick electives till next year. It’s the only downside of my high school. History is fun. The learning part is horrible and pointless, again. The class itself is great because of the people in it, it’s hysterical. It’s my favorite class, for sure. Don’t even get me started on English… WORST CLASS EVER, OMG. Again, it’s another pointless class. I would be fine with it if we were learning grammar or doing creative writing. But NO. We’re reading crappy stories from the 1600’s and beyond. It’s all American Literature! I don’t understand anything we read in that class because I DON’T SPEAK OLD ENGLISH, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. So I fail all the quizzes we take on the stories. It’s not my fault they couldn’t write in modern English. If I could actually understand the stories, I would read them entirely instead of half-assing all the assignments relating to them. I give BS answers to everything and still get credit for actually doing it. Not such great habits, but again… not gonna serve me any purpose once I graduate, so I really don’t care. It’s sad because I give no effort and pull an A when the report card comes. And now we’re writing some stupid research paper on relating characters of the dumb play The Crucible with mental illnesses? What the hell. It has to be 6 pages long. Six entire pages of nothing, woohoooo. In addition to not giving any effort in that class, I fall asleep 75% of the time. And I still get an A, crazy, right? I just can’t focus and/or keep my eyes open. What am I supposed to do? And physics… UGH. I’m in high school and we’re using a college text book and taking college-level tests. So we’re all doing horribly even with the 20pt curves on every test. Whatever, I have a B in that class which is really, really good. It’s fun though because the class itself is great. The learning aspect sucks. I can’t wait till school is over. Two more years and I can go to college and study things I actually WANT and NEED to learn. Which will be awesome for me because I want to be a graphic designer / web designer / painter / photographer. How much fun will courses relating to that be? :]
Last Saturday, I went to Bamboozle with my friends Danielle, Jen, and Amanda. Overall it was really fun. I met some band members… Alex Suarez (Bass, Cobra Starship), Jack Barakat (Guitar, All Time Low), Rian Dawson (Drums, All Time Low), Hayley Williams (Vocals, Paramore), and Shaant Hacikyan (Vocals, Cute Is What We Aim For). I’ve already met Suarez before, he’s such a sweetheart. It was my first time meeting Jack, Rian, and Hayley though. I met Shaant last year at Bamboozle and he was really nice. This time he was a jerk and most likely high, but whatever. We saw: Cobra Starship, Fall Out Boy, We The Kings, Forever the Sickest Kids, Nevershoutnever!, Metro Station (ugh ew gross), and maybe more? I can’t remember. It was lots of fun though. Next year I plan on getting VIP tickets. :]
Also, I’ve been addicted to The Audition’s new self-titled album. It’s so catchy! I love it. I’ve been listening to it non-stop. I definitely suggest checking it out. Also, Cobra Starship’s second single from their new album came out the other day. It’s called “(I Make) Good Girls Go Bad” and it’s featuring Leighton Meester from that show Gossip Girl? It’s really fun and definitely my jam. I suggest listening to it as well and you can do so here. I can’t wait for their new album “Hot Mess” in July! <3
